Replacement Reservoir or Add 2L Hydration to Your Backpack
The Caribee 2L reservoir can be purchased separately when an existing hydration reservoir needs replacing, or when you want an additional reservoir for a compatible backpack. It is supplied as standard in the Skycrane 2L, Quencher 2L and Stinger 2L Hi Vis hydration backpacks.
For other backpacks, always check the individual product specifications before purchasing to confirm that the pack is designed to accept a 2L hydration reservoir. Compatibility can vary between backpack designs.
Worksite & Outdoor Hydration
A Practical Hydration Option for Compatible Work Packs
A separate hydration reservoir is useful when you already have a compatible backpack and want convenient, hands-free access to water while working or moving around. For work, field activities and outdoor use, a hydration reservoir should form part of a broader approach to managing heat and maintaining access to suitable drinking water.
Frequently Asked Questions
Caribee 2L Hydration Reservoir FAQs
Common questions about replacement use, backpack compatibility, capacity and the 2L hydration system.
What is the Caribee 2L Hydration Reservoir used for?
The Caribee 2L Hydration Reservoir is designed to provide hands-free hydration in compatible hydration-ready backpacks. It can be used as a replacement reservoir or purchased separately as an additional reservoir for a compatible pack.
Is this a replacement hydration bladder?
Yes. The 2L reservoir is available separately as a replacement for a compatible hydration system. It can also be kept as an additional reservoir where having a spare hydration system is useful.
Which Caribee backpacks use this 2L reservoir?
This reservoir is supplied as standard fitment in the Caribee Skycrane 2L, Quencher 2L and Stinger 2L Hi Vis hydration backpacks.
Will the 2L reservoir fit other backpacks?
It may fit other brands and models that are specifically designed to accept a 2L hydration reservoir. Backpack designs vary, so compatibility should be confirmed against the individual backpack specifications before purchasing.
How much water does the reservoir hold?
The reservoir has a 2 litre capacity. This provides a useful balance between water capacity and a relatively compact reservoir size for compatible hydration backpacks.
Is the Caribee 2L reservoir BPA free?
Yes. The reservoir is made from TPU material specified as BPA, phthalate and PVC free.
How is the 2L reservoir filled?
The reservoir uses a low-profile screw-cap opening for filling. The current manufacturer specifications do not describe a fold-top or slide-lock closure for this 2L model.
What type of mouthpiece does the 2L reservoir use?
The reservoir uses a high-flow mouthpiece with an integrated on/off function. A separate replacement hydration reservoir mouthpiece is also available for compatible Caribee hydration reservoirs.
What is the difference between the Caribee 2L and 3L reservoirs?
The main difference is capacity and construction/features. The 2L reservoir uses soft-touch TPU, a low-profile screw cap, high-flow mouthpiece and calibration markings. The 3L reservoir provides greater capacity and uses a fold-top slide-lock closure with a fully insulated drink tube and quick-release tube connection. Always check the backpack specifications to select the appropriate reservoir.
Can I replace the mouthpiece separately?
Yes. A separate Caribee Replacement Hydration Reservoir Mouthpiece is available for compatible Caribee 1.5L, 2L and 3L hydration reservoirs.
